Wedding cake toppers used to be simple: a little bride and groom to symbolize your marriage. Nowadays, cake toppers are much more personal. They can symbolize the bride and the groom with animals, silhouettes, fun characters, or just something the bride and groom both love.
If you and your groom prefer to keep things simple, a monogram is a nice way to add a personalized touch to your cake.
It’s your best day ever, so why not celebrate that with a best day ever cake topper? It’s simple, elegant, and says it all.

For those that love to have fun, and share a love of a particular movie or show, why not put that on your cake? It will show off your personalities, without taking over the entire wedding. People will be snapping photos of your cake all night long. You’ll also have a statement piece in your home for the rest of your lives to commemorate your wedding day.

If animals are your thing, then top your cake with them! You can go cute, like these little birds and foxes, or fun and whimsical, like the fox and giraffe.

On your wedding day, choose what matches you and your groom’s personalities best. A simple cake topper may not stand out, but if you love it, then it’s meant to be.
It may not be your first idea, but sometimes, a blush or pink colored wedding gown can really make you stand out. In a light blush, the color could almost pass for a vintage or ivory. A pink or blush underlay can also help make lace really stand out from the rest of your dress. The color also compliments skin tones better than a stark white or ivory. In order to convince you, here are some celebrities looking like fabulous, beautiful brides in pink dresses.
Portia Di Rossi
Martha Stewart Weddings
Portia’s fun, blush, tulle skirt made her look like a princess on her wedding day. The blush skirt was a nice contrast to her cream halter top.
If you’re looking for something similar to Portia’s Zac Posen gown, but not quite as bold, this Rebecca Ingram dress is perfect. It offers soft tulle and lace with a touch of blush that’s not too pink.
Reese’s Monique Lhullier gown was a soft pink, a-line gown. You could clearly see that the dress was pink, which worked perfectly on Reese, but may not be for everyone.
A very pale blush makes the ivory lace more prominent on this Rebecca Ingram dress. If Reese’s bold, blush dress is too much for you, this might be the way to go.
Martha Stewart Weddings
We still don’t have pictures of her full dress, so this will have to do. Blake’s Marchesa wedding gown featured some soft, rose gold embroidery that stood out over the silk tulle.
For a subtle take on the pink, try this Rebecca Ingram gown. It’s an ivory lace gown over a soft blush. The blush is so soft no one will be able to tell you’re straying from the traditional.
Anne Hathaway’s custom Valentino gown featured an ombre pink effect. The tulle started off an almost white ivory and gradually turned a light pink. This baby pink Allure gown adds a soft touch of color that’s not overwhelming, just like Anne’s gown.
Martha Stewart Weddings
Much like Anne’s gown, Lydia’s Christian Siriano gown featured an ombre effect, although hers was much bolder and brighter. This Allure gown will be sure to make a statement, just like Lydia’s dress. It features organza ruffles in a baby pink on the bottom, with silver embellishments all over the bodice.
These styles, and so much more, are available at Aleana’s Bridal!
With Fall quickly coming to an end, winter is upon us. We say goodbye to those autumn reds, oranges, yellows, and greens, and bring in the winter whites, cool blue, and deep reds. Winter is the perfect season to bring out holiday colors, go bright and sparkly, wear some elegant sleeves, and top it all off with a gorgeous fur coat.
Don’t let the cold weather temperatures limit your dress choices. If strapless is your thing, go for it. But, if you want to switch things up a bit and feel like you’re in the winter, try a dress with some long sleeves. Sleeves add a touch of elegance to a gown that sleeveless can’t quite capture. You’ll be sure to a be a princess on your wedding day. If you still want a strapless look, try an off the shoulder dress with sleeves to get the best of both worlds.
A winter wedding is the perfect time to break out that fabulous fur. If you don’t own any, Aleana’s Bridal will rent one to you for your wedding day. It’s a simple and classic way to keep you warm on a cold winter day, without covering up your dress or taking too much away from it.
If you don’t want to be cold, then it stands to reason that your bridesmaids wouldn’t want to be cold either, right? Although you’re less likely to find long sleeve dresses for your girls, there are still options to keep them cozy. If you don’t want them to freeze, gift them a warm accessory to keep things uniform. If not, don’t be too picky about what they wear over their dresses. They just want to be warm!

If it’s cold out, you don’t want your toes to freeze. Don’t be afraid to wear some cozy boots or moccasins. As long as you get it hemmed accordingly, no one will even see the shoes beneath the dress. You can also wear them outside, and swap them out for another pair once you’re inside.

A winter wedding is your chance to do something out of the norm. Break out the furs and long sleeves. Wear cozy boots on your feet and get married in an igloo. Have fun and celebrate the holidays with your friends and family and celebrate your love.

Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement just a few days ago, it’s all anyone can talk about. We’ve already seen the ring and we know where the wedding will be, but what will the dress be like? We’re expecting nothing short of fabulous for the famous actress turned future princess. She’s living every girl’s dream. So, in honor of the future royal wedding, we’re sharing some of our favorite dresses from past royal weddings and some fabulous dresses you can wear to feel like a princess on your wedding day, too!
Marie Chantal Miller and Prince Pavlos of Greece by Tim Graham/Getty
Marie Chantal’s custom Valentino gown is a dress made for a princess, literally. The silk gown was encrusted with pearls and featured gorgeous Chantilly lace along the train. Although the wedding was over 20 years ago, the dress would still make statements today with the long lace sleeves and high neckline.
Add some custom lace sleeves to this gown and you’ll be on your way to looking like the next princess of Greece. If sleeves aren’t for you, you’ll still be sure to look like royalty in this all over lace gown.
Kate Middleton and Prince William of England

We all know about this wedding and the gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown Princess Kate wore. Much like Marie Chantal, she’s still got the lace sleeves, although the neckline is quite different. The slim V-neck adds a touch of sexiness you can’t quite achieve with a high neck.
The V-neck on this dress is a bit wider, but the lace sleeves are a just as beautiful as Princess Kate’s.

Princess Victoria is one of the few princesses on this list that didn’t have long, lace sleeves on her wedding gown. Instead, she opted for a satin gown with an off the shoulder boat neck style. If long sleeves aren’t quite your style, this might be the way to go.

This satin A-line gown is certain to make you feel like a princess. It’s classic and elegant, just like Princess Victoria’s, but without the off the shoulder neckline.
Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill of Sweden by Torsten Laursen/Getty
Princess Madeleine wed her prince in an off the shoulder cap sleeved Valentino gown. If you still want some coverage, but not too much, a capped sleeve is a great option. If you still feel it’s too much, a lower neckline could take a gown like this to the next level.
The sleeves are a bit longer, but this top is pretty similar to Princess Madeleine’s. The neckline is also a bit lower, showing a bit more shoulder than the Princess, but still just as stunning.
To feel like a princess, you’ve got to dress like one. That doesn’t mean a big ball gown, either. It means whichever dress you feel like the greatest in. It could have sleeves and be a big ball gown, or it could be strapless and form-fitting. Whatever you decide, you’re sure to be a princess on your wedding day.
All of these dresses, and so much more, are available at Aleana’s Bridal!
The flowers you choose for your bridal bouquet make quite the statement, especially up against your dress. Think about your theme, your venue, and the season. The season likely determines the types of flowers available for your bouquet. Every season brings new flowers, with gorgeous colors to create the most beautiful bouquet.
The Winter season brings us a lot of beautiful colors. Deep reds, bold purples, and dark blues can help you stand out. If you are looking for something a bit subtler, try out some icy hues. Light blues, pinks, and white can help you get more of a winter wonderland feel. If you are looking for a Christmas themed bouquet, go for some bold reds and green to get that jolly holiday feel.
Spring is the season for flowers. Everything is growing back, trees are getting their leaves back, and everything is covered in beautiful, bright flowers. This is probably the best season for bouquets because nearly everything is in bloom. You’ll have your pick of the crop when choosing your bouquet. You could go soft and pastel or bold and bright. The options are endless in the Spring.
Even though Fall is typically the season when plants are starting to disappear, there are a lot of beautiful Fall florals that are perfect for your bouquet. And let’s not forget those beautiful fall colors. Reds, oranges, and yellows will be sure to make your bouquet stand out. There are also a lot of flowers that come into bloom in the fall that will make a gorgeous bouquet for your walk down the aisle.

It’s no secret that everybody loves Fall. From the fashion to the food, you could say that most everybody is a bit obsessed. It’s such a cozy season, filled with warm scarves and sweaters and pumpkin spiced lattes (if that’s your thing). Flannels, boots, and light jackets become a staple. The weather is near perfect most of the time, with it not being too hot or too cold. The leaves change to those beautiful colors we all know and love. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and all natural. It’s the perfect time to get married, or take your engagement photos, perhaps in preparation for a Fall wedding next year. So, break out the flannels and boots and get ready for some awesome Fall engagement photo shoots.
It’s Fall, its Halloween, it’s Thanksgiving! So, break out the pumpkins and have some fun with your photos like this couple did for their save-the-dates.

It doesn’t get much more romantic or seasonal than sharing a kiss under the falling leaves. It captures what the season is all about.
If you want to get really cozy, wrap up in a blanket like this couple did. The photo is so sweet, and the color changing leaves blurred in the background add to the Fall vibes of this photo.
Get yourself a photographer that’s willing to climb up into trees for you. It doesn’t get much better than this photo, with the couple laying on the ground and the beautiful red leaves right over them. This is a photo you could truly only get in the midst of Fall.

Don’t forget to have some fun! Ever jump into a pile of leaves when you were a kid? If not, take that chance now. Take some leaves and throw them at your fiancé. Throw them up in the air. Act like a kid again. It will make for some beautiful photos and memories you won’t soon forget.
When you think of glitter, you probably picture a little girl running around Disney World with glitter all over her hair and dress. Or maybe you think of kindergarten class, doing some craft and getting glitter EVERYWHERE. So, you probably wouldn’t dream of incorporating glitter into your wedding plans, right? Well, think again. Glitter isn’t just for kids, and there are a lot of sophisticated ways to add glitter to your wedding day without making it seem too childish.
We’ve been seeing a lot of this dress here at Aleana’s Bridal, and there’s no need to wonder why. It might seem a bit bold on the model here, but seeing the dress on one of your bridesmaids will instantly change your mind. We have yet to see this dress not look stunning on anyone that wears it. It looks especially stunning in rose gold, but if navy blue or silver is more your style, give it a shot.
We’re seeing more and more sexy and fabulous dresses for the mother-of. After all, your wedding day is only second to hers, so she should look amazing as well. Mother-of dresses tend to have a lot of detail, so it should be simple to find one with some sparkle to go with your glitter theme. And don’t worry, while mom is sure to look stunning, you’ll be the star of the show no matter what she wears, but there’s no reason for her not to look fabulous, too!

How about a glittery wedding cake? As one of the centerpieces of your wedding, adding a layer covered in glitter would look beautiful. It would add just the right touch of glitter without being too overwhelming. Add it in between layers, as a topper, or just add a small strip! If you’re feeling really bold, make the whole thing glitter, because, hey, it is your wedding day.
What’s hiding under that fabulous dress of yours? Glitter, of course! Wear a pair of your favorite, sparkly shoes on your wedding day for that much needed touch of glitz and glam. You can even wear these Kate Spade Keds if heels aren’t quite your style. You’ll still get that sparkle with an added touch of glam underneath your dress.

Halloween was just a few days ago, but that doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate with some awesome Halloween themed weddings. This isn’t for everyone, but for those that think it’s the greatest holiday of the year or those that really enjoy Fall in general, there are some really cool, fun touches you could add to your wedding day that won’t scare everyone away!
Since it is a wedding, you don’t want anything to look like you’re throwing a children’s Halloween party. Keep it classy, with some cool, dark touches. You could incorporate some gothic themes. If black is your color, take the chance to wear it, because, why not? If you love the Haunted Mansion, don’t be afraid to add some of those ghoulish Disney accents!
Fun, signature cocktails are a great way to add a Halloween touch without it being too much. Have some fun with the cocktail names. Have guests “pick their poison” or stir up some “witches brew.” The options are endless.
This Nightmare Before Christmas unity candle is “simply meant to be” for your wedding day. The quote is perfect for any couple that is meant to be and adds a great Halloween touch, without being too much.
If there’s one thing your wedding guests are looking forward to, aside from the dress, vows, food, and party, it’s the wedding favors! Who doesn’t love to bring home a little piece of the magic they witnessed on your special day? There are so many different ideas out there for wedding favors it can be difficult to choose what you want to send your guests home with. You could create a cute party favor with your names and wedding date on it. But what would they do with that? Most likely display it with the other party favors they have collected over the years. Or, you could send them home with something they’ll really enjoy: chocolate. Chocolate is romantic, decadent, and delicious. What better favor to send your guests home with?
There are a lot of different ways to send chocolate home with your wedding guests. A chocolate bar might be a good way to start. Pick some of your favorite chocolates and separate them into vases and jars. Choose colors that match your theme. Color coordinate the entire table. Add some little gift bags with your names and wedding date on them, and let your guests create their own goody bags. Not only is it a lower cost option, but your guests will be sure to love it.
Go bold and create something custom! Monogram your chocolate boxes. Get your names engraved on chocolate bars. It’s your wedding! The world of chocolate is yours. Create custom M&Ms with your names and wedding date stamped on. Put them into cute little baggies and send them home. Who doesn’t love M&Ms?
If you’re feeling really crafty, creating these DIY smores wedding favors. Find a cute pot, bag, or basket, and throw in some marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. Your guests will love making smores at home in your honor.
If you want to make it really personal, put some cute pictures on your chocolate! Make it fun or classy, it’s really up to you. Either way, your guests will be sure to love eating your faces on some delicious chocolates.

Idina Menzel married her Rent co-star this past September. She stunned in a Carolina Herrera gown with all over lace and off the shoulder details. She was a real-life Disney princess and it was perfect.
These gorgeous lace gowns may not be what Idina wore on her wedding day, but they can certainly help you channel your inner Queen Elsa.
